Biome Detectives Get Ready to Go!

We are a group of five teachers, from small town Wisconsin, that feel so fortunate to launch on an adventure of a lifetime to Costa Rica together. We will be investigating the rain forest, ocean, and volcanic areas of Costa Rica. The results of our investigations will be brought back to our classrooms to teach students about these biomes from our first hand experiences. We want to share these experiences via this blog with our students and families. This adventure became a possibility with the teamwork our school promotes. Our school won the Wisconsin School of Promise award for academic excellence. Because of our efforts in promoting academic achievement we were presented with the opportunity to apply for the Fund for Teachers fellowship. Honestly, our team dreamt BIG!!! We put together this hopeful plan to study biomes in Costa Rica together and our dream came true. We will be traveling in early June and posting our adventures here so that you can follow with our team of Biome Detectives.
